Lotus House serves female adults (18+) with a diagnosed substance use disorder who are committed to their recovery. Applicants must be willing to follow house rules, participate in a recovery program such as AA or NA, and have no active violent criminal history that poses a risk to other residents.

You do need to be actively enrolled in a formal treatment program, and you must be committed to a recovery program (AA, NA, or equivalent) and willing to follow all house guidelines from day one.

Start by calling or emailing us. We'll have a brief phone conversation, then walk you through our intake application. Once reviewed, we'll invite you for an in-person tour before finalizing admission.

Availability varies. We encourage you to reach out as early as possible. We'll let you know current availability and estimated wait times during your initial call.

We review each application individually. Non-violent criminal histories do not automatically disqualify an applicant. We are committed to second chances and assess each situation with compassion and care.

The average length of stay is 90 days, but there is no fixed maximum. Residents may stay longer based on their individual recovery progress and needs, as determined in collaboration with house management.

Days at Lotus House are structured around recovery, responsibility, and community. Residents attend recovery meetings, complete assigned chores, pursue employment or education, and participate in house activities. Structure is a cornerstone of our program.

Yes. Visitors are welcome during designated visiting hours. All visitors must be sober and approved by house management in advance.

Yes. All residents must be in the house by curfew each night. Exceptions for work schedules or special circumstances require prior approval from house management.

Lotus House is currently an adult-only facility. We understand this is a difficult reality for many mothers and will work with you to connect with resources for family reunification as part of your recovery plan.

Pets are not permitted at Lotus House at this time. We understand this can be a hardship and are happy to help connect you with pet fostering resources while you complete your program.

We keep our fees as low as possible to remove barriers to recovery. Please contact us directly for current weekly program rates — we discuss fees during the intake process and work with each resident individually.

We believe cost should never stand between a woman and her recovery. We work with residents to explore community resources. Please reach out — we will do our best to find a solution together.

A one-time deposit is required upon admission. Talk to us — we want to help you get in the door.

A relapse results in discharge from the house in order to protect the safety and sobriety of all residents. However, we are deeply committed to your long-term recovery and will help connect you with appropriate treatment resources so you can continue your journey.

Yes. Residents are required to attend a minimum number of recovery meetings each week. We support AA, NA, and other evidence-based peer recovery programs. Transportation assistance is available.

While Lotus House is a peer recovery residence and not a clinical treatment facility, we maintain relationships with local counselors, social workers, and treatment providers and can help connect you with professional support.

Yes. Residents are expected to pursue employment, education, or vocational training. We provide support and connections to local job resources, resume help, and interview preparation as part of our community programming.
